November 4, 2013

Sen.-Dean-Heller-236x300Today, Senator Dean Heller (R-Nev.) announced his support for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced that a vote on ENDA could be scheduled as early as today. We need to keep the pressure up as the vote nears, so take action today and urge your senators to sign-on as co-sponsors.

Statement by Rea Carey, Executive Director, National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Action Fund:

The announcement by Senator Dean Heller that he will vote for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act is a testament to the bipartisan support this critical piece of legislation has. We appreciate and thank Sen. Heller for doing the right thing, and we urge all senators to protect everyone from employment discrimination — no matter who we are or who we love.
