Volunteers are preparing for Creating Change in Houston

January 26, 2014

IMG_3012Volunteer orientation sessions began today at the Hilton of the Americas-Houston. We have a record-breaking number of volunteers signed up to help out during the conference – over 600! We’re excited for all of the volunteers because we expect this to be the largest National Conference on LGBT Equality: Creating Change ever!

We anticipate over 4,000 attendees for this year’s conference and there are over 350 workshops and sessions scheduled.

Conference director Sue Hyde led the first orientation, welcoming volunteers and explaining the various roles that volunteers play in support of the event.

After the training, volunteers helped to prepare bags for conference attendees.

With such a great group of volunteers, we’re confident that this year’s conference will be the biggest and best yet! You can see more photos from today on our Facebook page.
