Action alert: Senate may vote tomorrow to repeal ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’

December 17, 2010

Earlier this week the U.S. House passed “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal legislation by a vote of 250-175. It is now up to the Senate to ensure that the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” happens before the end of the year. Last night, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) filed a procedural motion that will lead to a vote on the standalone “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal bill as early as Saturday morning.

Please call your senators NOW and urge them to vote for the stand alone “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” bill.

Call the Capitol switchboard at 202.224.3121.

In particular, if one of the following senators represents your state, your call is especially needed. If you are not from one of the below states, but you know anyone who lives in one of the following states, pass this message on and ask them to call their senators. Please call now!
